- Opt-in happens only inside a signed-in account. It is never collected verbally, on paper, or by text keyword.
- The consent box starts unchecked and can't be checked until a valid mobile number is entered. Checking it records consent and sends one confirmation text.
- Changing the mobile number requires opting in again for the new number.
